Darlington-born and London-based artist Highrise offers his personal style of UK Garage and the surrounding genres.
He’s become known & respected for his acclaimed DJ sets which contain an eclectic mix of old school digs and fresh material, as well as often crossing in and out of Dubstep, Breaks and Techno from all eras. He is also a member of UK Garage collective and record label Shuffle n Swing, a crew which have been heavily involved with bringing fans of the music together as well as DJing as a group across the UK and Europe. Highrise is also known for his alias Dwarde under which he has been producing and DJing jungle, hardcore and Drum & Bass for 15 years.
His production work has seen him release records on some of the best labels in the scene, both new and longstanding, including Shuffle & Swing, Equal People, Vibesey, Practical Rhythms, Urban Dubz, Spin City, Plastik People, Rhythm n Vibe, Fresh Milk, Puresa, Breaks n Pieces, Discworld with much more coming in the pipeline. These have also led to him getting to work with scene veterans such as Jeremy Sylvester and Karl Brown.
He also runs his own record label Flattrax, which features his own productions backed with those of his musical peers and friends.
